CHESANING UNION HIGH SCHOOL: 29
Durand lost a tough 29-12 contest to the Chesaning Indians on Friday night. The tough Railroader defense held Chesaning in check for most of the night. Drew Alward led the way with 9 tackles while Brayden Kelley and Gaven Brewer each added 8. Carver Purdy added 5 tackles and an interception while Levi Smith added 4 stops with 2 tackles for loss.
Offensively the Railroaders were led by Smith who carried the ball 15 times for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Brewer rushed 8 times for 61 yards. The loss drops Durand’s record to 3-4 on the year. They will try to get back on the winning track next week against New Lothrop at Roundhouse Stadium.
