Durand 49 - Mt Morris 13 The Durand Railroaders improved their record to 2-3 with a 49-13 victory over Mt Morris. The Durand offense steamrolled their way to 505 yards of total offense. The Railroaders rushed for 450 yards on 51 carries with 6 touchdowns. Hayden Simmons led the way with 108 yards on 8 carries and 2 rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown on the night.  Gaven Brewer rushed for 85 yards on 7 carries and a touchdown while Carver Purdy chipped in 75 yards on 10 carries. Drew Alward also rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown for Durand. Brayden Kelley went 4-4 passing for 55 yards and a touchdown and a 2 point conversion. Andrew Kesson also scored for the Railroaders. Defensively Durand was led by Caden Holbrook with 12 tackles , 2 for a loss and a fumble recovery, and Purdy with 8 tackles with Levi Smith and Alward chipping in with 6 each. Durand faces Flint next week for their Homecoming.
