The Railroaders fought hard but came up short against a good Montrose Ram football team on Thursday night. The Railroaders trailed 16-0 at the half but put together a tough and physical effort in the second half. The Railroaders rushed for 305 yards on 59 carries for the game. They were led by Levi Smith who rushed 17 times for 92 yards and a touchdown. Caden Holbrook added 54 yards on 9 carries and a touchdown. Carver Purdy ran 11 times for 34 yards while Hayden Simmons tacked on 33 yards on 10 carries and Drew Alward went for 30 yards on 3 carries for Durand.
Defensively, the Railroaders were led by Smith who tallied 5 tackles, 2 TFL and a fumble recovery. Gaven Brewer added 5 tackles and 2 TFL. Holbrook and Cameron Bacchus each added 5 tackles while Simmons chipped in with 4 tackles and a forced fumble.
